Emily graduated from Rowan University in 2004 with a B.S. in Biology. She started working in the histopathology lab at HSRL in September 2004. Since she's been here, she has been involved in bivalve disease diagnoses for health certifications as well as in various projects including QPX, Dermo, and MSX monitoring; a Crassostrea ariakensis parasite/pathogen investigation; and ciliate xenoma research. Emily's research interests are bivalve disease diagnostics by use of both histological and molecular techniques.
